Who’s Who

Jess Matthews, Conductor

Jess MaJess CCCtthews currently teaches K-6 General Music in the Westborough Public Schools. She received a Bachelor of Music (Piano Concentration) and Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and a Master of Music in Music Education from The Boston Conservatory. Jess teaches private piano throughout the Greater Boston area, including The Boston Conservatory’s Program for Students on the Autism Spectrum. Having previously taught K-5 General Music and Chorus in Winchester, MA, Jess has also held accompaniment positions in school districts throughout Massachusetts, including Carlisle, Concord and Winchester.

 

 

Christy Liao, Pianist

Jess CCCOriginally from Taiwan, Christy had earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from New England Conservatory. She is currently a piano accompanist with Newton South High School, Brown Middle School and Newton All-City Treble Chorus. She also had experiences of working with mixed choir at MMEA Eastern Senior Festival, Needham All-City Chorus at the MICCA, and Concord Carlisle All-City choir in recent years. Besides running a teaching studio at home in Newton, she often collaborates with young musicians from New England Conservatory Prep School and the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras for performances, auditions and competitions. She joins the CCC in 2017.
