Jess Matthews, Conductor

Jess MaJess CCCtthews currently teaches K-6 General Music in the Westborough Public Schools. She received a Bachelor of Music (Piano Concentration) and Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida in Gainesville, and a Master of Music in Music Education from The Boston Conservatory. Jess teaches private piano throughout the Greater Boston area, including The Boston Conservatory’s Program for Students on the Autism Spectrum. Having previously taught K-5 General Music and Chorus in Winchester, MA, Jess has also held accompaniment positions in school districts throughout Massachusetts, including Carlisle, Concord and Winchester.

 

 

Yerim Kang, Pianist

Yerim Kang, originally from Seoul, Korea, started to play the piano at the age of six.  She continued her studies at Sunhwa Art school, Seoul and later on at the Junior Academy, Royal Academy of Music in London, England.  Yerim graduated from teh Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with a Bachelor of Music in 2003.  Since moving to the US in 2007, Yerim has been steadily working in Boston’s North Shore area.  Yerim served as a faculty member at the Yamaha Music School of Boston in Lexington for seven years, and as an accompanist at the Treble Chorus of New England in Andover. Currently, Yerim serves on the piano faculty at 77 Arts Academy in Acton and is a teaching artist with the Urban Voices program of the Metropolitan Opera Guild of New York.  She lives with her family of four and teaches private lessons at her home studio in North Andover, MA.
