About the CCC

We are an intergenerational choral community now in our seventh year.

Our mission is to bring musical enjoyment and opportunities to the greater Carlisle area, and to build relationships among members of all ages through learning and performing quality choral music.

Who: Open to any interested singer, age 10 and up.  Soprano section 1-10-12
The ensemble is non-auditioned.  No experience necessary.  You simply need a desire to sing!

When: Monday evenings, 7:00-8:45 pm.
Two concert seasons per year; September-January and late January-May.

Registration is open to all interested singers.  Registration begins at 6:45 pm, prior to the first two rehearsals of each season.  Membership dues will be determined by the number of participants, but will not exceed $50 per adult, $25 per student, per concert.  Scholarships are available, as are discounts for Carlisle seniors.

Concerts: Minimum of two concerts per year, one per season.  Additional community outreach concerts/performance opportunities may occur.  Our public concerts are supported in part by grants from the Carlisle Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Where: Rehearsals and concerts take place at the Carlisle Public School (see map under “Rehearsal Info” tab).

Concert Attire: Formal white and black.
Black pants or knee-length or longer skirt
Long-sleeved white shirt/blouse
Black nylons or socks, black shoes
Ties for men

Music: Music is distributed at rehearsals.  Members are asked to mark original scores with pencil only and return after the concert performances.  It is essential that all music be returned promptly, as some of it is borrowed from other institutions.  Members are asked to provide their own black binders.

Attendance: To build strong relationships and make beautiful music, regular attendance is necessary.  If an individual has missed more than three rehearsals, the conductor may speak with CCC LE and kids that member concerning his/her preparedness for the concert.

Community Outreach: The CCC believes in reaching out to the greater community through music, artistic collaborations, and contributions.  Each concert is free and open to the public.  In addition, goodwill donations of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items are collected for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.
