We are an inter-generational choral community now in our thirteenth year.
Our mission is to bring musical enjoyment and opportunities to the greater Carlisle area and to build relationships among members of all ages through learning and performing quality choral music.
Who: Open to any interested singer, age 12 and up. The ensemble is non-auditioned. No experience necessary, just a simple desire to sing!
When: Mondays, 7:00-8:30 pm. Two seasons per year: September to January and late January to mid-May (see schedule under “Current Season“).
Registration is open to all interested singers. Registration begins at 6:45 pm, prior to the first two Open Rehearsals of each season. Membership dues has been reduced this season to $25/person, regardless of age.
Concerts: Minimum of two concerts per year, one per season. Additional community outreach concerts/performance opportunities may occur. Our public concerts are supported in part by grants from the Carlisle Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and from the Friends of the Carlisle Council on Aging.
Where: Rehearsals and concerts take place at the Carlisle Public School (see map under “Rehearsal Info“).
Music: Music is distributed at rehearsals. Members are asked to mark original scores with pencil only and return them after the concert performances. It is essential that all music be returned promptly, as some of it is borrowed from other organizations. Members provide their own black binders.
Attendance: To build strong relationships and make beautiful music, regular attendance is necessary. If singers have missed several rehearsals, the conductor may speak with them about their preparedness for the concert.
Concert Attire: Formal white and black.
Long-sleeved white shirt/blouse, ties for men, black pants or knee-length or longer black skirt, black nylons or socks, black shoes
Community Outreach: The CCC believes in reaching out to the greater community through music, artistic collaborations and contributions. Each concert is free and open to the public. Goodwill donations of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items are collected for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.
